Voter suppression and intimidation are real. Y’all the white majority is nervous. They do not want the minority voice heard. They want to deny you your inalienable right to vote. If you don’t believe me, check out these stories. Both in Georgia. One in regarding voter intimidation in Louisville, GA – Jefferson county and the other in Atlanta involving voter suppression.
I know most of us and I do include myself in this group, typically don’t vote in the midterms. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve voted in the midterms, but you can see the consequences of not voting. Hence, the Kavanaugh confirmation to the Supreme Court. We have sweeping immigration laws that separate children from their parents and so much more.
These things get passed in the house and senate, which makes your vote in the midterms crucial. Also, on the local level, your states governor race is key. If you want change in your state you need to vote in a good governor as well as make sure your voice is heard in your all local races.
You must vote for the person you feel has your best interest at heart. That’s why I cast my vote for Stacey Abrams! Now I’m not telling you who you should vote for. All I’m saying is get out and vote! Y’all saw what happened in the 2016 presidential elections. This is a warning, especially to y’all who didn’t get out and vote. We Do Not want a repeat!
Get out and vote November 6!
