So, we’ve all heard the story of Harvey Weinstein and before him of Bill Cosby. I wanted to provide a forum to continue the #Me Too. I’ve had an encounter young in my career (read the blog for more on that) and I am sure many of you have too. Please let’s continue to share our stories so our voices can be heard!

Trump's tweets to a US territory in crisis and in distress. Is this appropriate? Is it racially motivated? We didn't see this type of behavior after Harvey in Houston. Your thoughts? Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump. 7:19 AM - Sep 30, 2017 Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump ...Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They.... 7:26 AM - Sep 30, 2017 Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump ...want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job. 7:29 AM - Sep 30, 2017 Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump Fake News CNN and NBC are going out of their way to disparage our great First Responders as a way to "get Trump." Not fair to FR or effort! 7:48 AM - Sep 30, 2017

This song comes on and I heard the following lyrics: My man is my man is your man Her, this her man too My man is my man is your man Her, that's her man Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I just keep him satisfied through the weekend You're like 9 to 5, I'm the weekend Make him lose his mind every weekend You take Wednesday, Thursday Then just send him my way Think I got it covered for the weekend I was like what the hell, stop the presses, what did she just say? The song is called “The Weekend” by SZA. Apparently the singer was singing about how she shares a man and her days are on the weekend. Y'all has having someone one the side become acceptable practice? Chime in and voice your thoughts on the matter!

Question: Do you think taking a knee is unpatriotic? Why or why not? Your protest suggestions? THE REASON BEHIND THE KNEE A little perspective.... Stolen from another page ....... For those who want to better understand what led to #TakeTheKnee, this is the backstory: Aug 14, 2016- Colin Kaepernick sits for the national anthem.....and no one noticed. Aug 20, 2016- Colin again sits, and again, no one noticed. Aug 26, 2016- Colin sits and this time he is met with a level of vitriol unseen against an athlete. Even the future President of the United States took shots at him while on the campaign trail. Colin went on to explain his protest had NOTHING to do with the military, but he felt it hard to stand for a flag that didn't treat people of color fairly. Aug 30, 2016- Nate Boyer, a former Army Green Beret turned NFL long snapper, penned an open letter to Colin in the Army Times. In it he expressed how Colin's sitting affected him. Then a strange thing happened. Colin was able to do what most Americans to date have not... He listened. In his letter Mr. Boyer writes: "I’m not judging you for standing up for what you believe in. It’s your inalienable right. What you are doing takes a lot of courage, and I’d be lying if I said I knew what it was like to walk around in your shoes. I’ve never had to deal with prejudice because of the color of my skin, and for me to say I can relate to what you’ve gone through is as ignorant as someone who’s never been in a combat zone telling me they understand what it’s like to go to war. Even though my initial reaction to your protest was one of anger, I’m trying to listen to what you’re saying and why you’re doing it." Mr. Boyer goes on to write "There are already plenty people fighting fire with fire, and it’s just not helping anyone or anything. So I’m just going to keep listening, with an open mind. I look forward to the day you're inspired to once again stand during our national anthem. I'll be standing right there next to you." Empathy and understanding was shown by Mr. Boyer.........and Mr. Kaepernick reciprocated. Colin invited Nate to San Diego where the two had a 90-minute discussion and Nate proposed Colin kneel instead of sit. But why kneel? In a military funeral, after the flag is taken off the casket of the fallen military member, it is smartly folded 13 times and then presented to the parents, spouse or child of the fallen member by a fellow service member while KNEELING. The two decided that kneeling for the flag would symbolize his reverence for those that paid the ultimate sacrifice while still allowing Colin to peacefully protest the injustices he saw. Empathy, not zealotry under the guise of patriotism, is the only way meaningful discussion can be had. Mr. Kaepernick listened to all of you that say he disrespects the military and extended an olive branch to find a peace.

Ok we've all seen what's been going on with this administration. I see Trump as a man who got into the race for president just to see if he could win. Once he won, he thought that he could just get his boys to run the country while he played golf. Now that he's seen that the government is ran totally different than a private sector business, he's flailing. The question for this forum is should the Donald be impeached? Should we get someone in the White House who wants to be there and who knows how to run the country?

I was watching the show Black Love on Own a couple of days ago on OWN. The show features real couples and discusses their up and downs, joys and pains centered around being in a marriage in the black community. I was captivated because most mainstream media doesn't depict black couples in a marriage. Typically you will see the single mother or the divorced couple. Even in commercials I've noticed that you rarely see black couples together. Usually you'll see either the mom or the dad alone featured with the children. My question today is do you feel that black love is dead? Why or why not? Are there things we can do to strengthen black relationships? Janice B
