“You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.”
I posted that quote a few days ago on my Instagram page. (If you are not following me on IG go ahead and do so @poetryinmotionii and stay connected with me) I actually had to stop and think about that one for a moment. We often go through different things in our life; some good and some bad. When we hit a bad patched instead of dwelling on it, shouldn’t we learn from it and change our thinking? Shouldn’t we restructure?
That’s precisely what I did when I went to Paris this summer and attended the Manifest your Miracles Retreat. I had followed the business coach who put the retreat on for some years but never really felt worthy of investing money in myself to become better. Yeah, I know crazy, right? You can’t get better if you are reliving your past and won’t spend time and money to become better. When I made the decision to go, mind you, it wasn’t an easy decision. I knew no one, and I’d never been to Europe, so I didn’t know what to expect. However, I knew I needed a disrupter in my life. I knew I couldn’t keep going the way I was going. So I took the leap!
I am so glad I took that leap of faith. I stopped revisiting that old chapter of my life that said I wasn’t good enough, that I couldn’t run a business, and that I wasn’t worthy. Now I know all of those things were false. I know that I have what it takes to do whatever it is that I am supposed to do and whatever God has planted in me to do.
I also got clear. I know that I love to create, and I love to help people. Because those are my two loves, I’m developing my business to help others become published authors. They can be anywhere on the spectrum with just having the idea they want to write about to being finished with their book and ready to print. I must say that I am so much happier these days and I know without a doubt that this chapter in my life is a good one!!
I encourage you to go ahead, turn the page, and discover a new and exciting chapter in your life!
