The Whine-Wine Blog
Because every rant, rave or whine goes down better with a great glass of wine!!
Words cannot express what I’m feeling or what we as black and brown people are feeling in Florida and Georgia. Last night’s governor’s elections were hard fought but we lost. Racism won.
I know the narratives of we have to keep on pushing on, we have to keep striving we have to keep the momentum going are floating around. But damn, how much more can we take as a people. 45 is a racist ass who out and out claims to be a “Nationalist”. We have cops killing us. And now we have white women calling the killer cops on us for just everyday living!
The very entities such as city and county municipalities and the federal government that was put in place to protect us are failing us miserably. We are barely gaining a foothold in this unequally yoked economic system. Yet we still try to assemble in a system that doesn’t like us nor want us in it. We don’t buy black because we perpetuate that lie the products are sub-par. We still have negative feelings about ourselves, believing that we are inferior, useless, shiftless or lazy. All lies that the white majority told us to keep us in captivity and keeping us begging for the scraps off their plates.
I know, Y'all this is dark and gloomy but that’s my mood today. Hey, what do you expect when we continuously get beat down. But this feeling will pass. Tomorrow’s a new day. We will come together collectively to change our economic and political futures!
Until next time, enjoy the journey!
